At any rate, I'll be doing my best to round up the interesting news, provide a little background info, and maybe give it a slightly editorial spin. For those of you who are wondering, "What is the deal with the title of this blog?" I will provide a brief explanation. In a science laboratory, chemical solutions, especially buffers, are frequently made in concentrated form. These concentrated forms are labeled "10X" or "5X" to indicate that they are ten or five times concentrated, respectively. Before using these chemical solutions, they must be diluted to a "working concentration" which is usually referred to as "1X." This blog has a similar principle: I read the "10X" news and then give it to you in "1X" form. Enjoy!
